FIRE DRILL CONDUCTED AT THE LUKOIL SRBIJA OIL TERMINAL IN DOLJEVAC

{ 8/25/2021 4:41:52 PM }

Employees and security personnel at the Doljevac oil terminal participated in a fire drill organized by the Group IB, FP, OHS and ecology at LUKOIL SERBIA in co-operation with the Group for the organization of oil and oil derivative logistics and corporate security. Three stages of the fire drill were carried out: a scenario involving the spillage of fuel at a receiving pump during the transfer of liquid fuel from a tanker car, after which, due to pump malfunction, there is a fire at the pump and the spilled liquid fuel; the scenario of a dry exercise, with two water jets and water supply directly from the source; a practical exercise in extinguishing fires from flammable liquids in a semi-barrel.

The goal of all three stages was to train all procedures for an adequate and timely response in the event of a fire to certain installations, to adopt alternative means of reaction with a smaller number of people if the stable fire-extinguishing system fails, as well as acquiring a routine in the use of mobile devices.

The employees and security personnel at the Doljevac oil terminal performed all planned activities in accordance with the fire-fighting scenarios, in an adequate way and within a significantly shorter period of time than planned and permitted, demonstrating that they are fully prepared for reacting in these circumstances.

In order to maintain good form and exercise, the next fire drill is planned for 2022, along with the periodic three-year theoretical and practical training required by law.
