FUEL IN-KIND DONATION TO ANTI-TERRORIST UNIT

At the celebration ceremony held on 7 May in the Anti-Terrorist Unit (PTJ) base of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia on the occasion of the PTJ Day and St. George’s Day (Đurđevdan), the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia, Alexander Chepurin, handed to the PTJ Commander, Police Lieutenant-Colonel Goran Dragović a in-kind donation in motor fuel, traditionally donated by “LUKOIL SRBIJA”.

The President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić, emphasized while receiving a recognition plaque, that this Unit, together with other Police and Military units, provides safety of Serbian citizens and children. The General Police Director, Milorad Veljović, congratulating the Unit Day, said that PTJ as well as the Police and Military are the pillar of safety of the State. During the ceremony Ambassador Chepurin handed Certificates to the Unit members who completed training in the Russian Federal Security Service Centre. On training grounds in the Lipovica Forest, near Belgrade, the Unit members performed anti-terrorist exercises in which they demonstrated their ability to resolve crisis situations in public facilities and public transport.
