The donation of RSD 246,000 made by "LUKOIL SERBIA" in favour of the Paraplegic Association of Zlatibor District in the Municipality of Užice was presented by Ana Janković, the Director of Human Resources & Administration. The donation provided for the procurement of a significant quantity of spare parts for aids used by the Association members, including aid accessories, sanitary devices and medical and sanitary supplies. The Mayor, Tihomir Petković, expressed his appreciation to the Company on behalf of the City of Užice, emphasizing that Užice was among the first Serbian cities to establish the Office for Economic Cooperation with the Russian Federation that initiated the cooperation with “LUKOIL SRBIJA” A.D. “We have embraced a good concept of financing the activities of this Office through public work, jointly with the National Employment Agency. At the time of its foundation, we declared that our objective would be to build the political and economic cooperation between the two states, between the city of Užice and the cities of the Russian Federation. However, one of the crucial forms of cooperation is the provision of assistance to all the 11 associations of the disabled registered in our city, with over 1,500 members. The today’s donation is the good opportunity to emphasize that the Office has been truly serving its purpose, said Petrović. Ana Janković, the Director of Human Resources & Administration in the Company, expressed her satisfaction for having made this donation in the very year when “LUKOIL” celebrates its 25th anniversary. “I hope that this donation will provide some help and encouragement to the members of Association, in the way that they will also be stirred by the positive energy spread throughout the world by “LUKOIL” as a socially responsible Company, said Ana Janković. Ms Elena Draškić from the Office for Cooperation with the Russian Federation pointed out that by providing its support and assistance, LUKOIL did not only share its material goods, but also brought joy to the people as well as hope for a better future. - After a number of years, this is the first donation of such a nature and value that has put LUKOIL on the top of a long list of donators and benefactors. Thanks to your generosity, we will be able to provide the appropriate assistance to each of the 40 members of our Association, in proportion to their needs. An added value that this donation has brought to us, is your readiness to lend a hand and deal with our needs and problems, helping us to overcome them. – said Ms Verica Mandić, the Secretary of the Paraplegic Association of Zlatibor District. Ms Zorica Milošević, Director of the National Employment Office in Užice, also thanked for the donation, while Miloš Zarić, the President of the Paraplegic Association presented the Certificate of Appreciation and the works of Association members created at workshops to Ms Ana Janković.
