“I am especially pleased that today's planting was carried out together with representatives of LUKOIL SRBIJA, since this is a socially responsible company that has been operating in Serbia since 2003 and has, throughout the years, addressed numerous issues concerning the quality of life and interests of the citizens of Belgrade and Serbia. LUKOIL SRBIJA company has contributed to the reconstruction of the Avala Tower and the Botanical Garden as well as many other activities in the field of health, sports, and education", the mayor said.
On this occasion, the mayor thanked JKP Zelenilo-Beograd for its daily activities aimed towards increasing the number of trees in the city.
Twenty decorative deciduous trees - 11 common hackberry trees and 9 red plum trees have been planted on the green area on Ulica Dћоnа Kеnеdiја, near LUKOIL's gas station and the Mother and Child Institute. At the same time, this company, also with the support of JKP Zelenilo-Beograd, planted 3 maple trees near the Avalski put gas station in the Jove Ilić park on Voћdovac.
“The cooperation between the city of Belgrade and LUKOIL grows by the year, with each new project, going on 16 years now. I enjoy planting, tidying up the city in which we live and work, investing in the conservation of nature, and I see it as a positive impact on the community in which LUKOIL operates and which is home to its employees and consumers. This activity is a natural contribution of LUKOIL SRBIJA to Belgrade's planting program and I hope that its citizens will enjoy the beauty of these trees for many years to come”, said General Director Denis Ryupin on this occasion.
The event was attended by Executive Director of Operations for JKP Zelenilo-Beograd Nataša Šišaković and employees of LUKOIL SRBIJA AD.
