LUKOIL SRBIJA’S SUPPORT FOR THE SCHOOL OF LIFE SKILLS

From October 29 to November 5, the 105th School of Life Skills for people with disabilities was held in Zlatibor with the support of LUKOIL SRBIJA. The program conducted by the Children's Heart organization was attended by 20 people with disabilities, joined by four educators who took care of them and worked with them. The activities were performed out in the open and the participants were constantly physically active and preoccupied with interesting activities. They learned to take care of themselves, others and the environment in which they find themselves.
The School of Life Skills program aims to, in a unobtrusive, interesting and acceptable way, introduce program content to people with disabilities that will help them participate in activities and prepare for independent living. "All this would not have been possible without the support of LUKOIL SRBIJA company, which with its selfless contribution enabled the participants to have a good time, make friends, have fun and learn new life skills. We thank you for your trust, help and support in ensuring a better quality of life for people with disabilities“, said the president of the Children's Heart organization, Goran Rojević.
Children with disabilities are given the opportunity to travel outside of their family or school, spend time with their peers and friends, hang out, have fun and master skills needed for everyday life and thus become more independent. They were given the opportunity to, independently, take care of personal hygiene and the hygiene of the space in which they live, help prepare meals and learn the rules of living in a group. In addition, they were able to express their creativity and imagination through workshops and practice manual activities, psychomotor skills and speaking skills.
