LUKOIL SRBIJA SUPPORTS THE MARCH DOCUMENTARY AND SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

The 69th Festival in a row opened at the Belgrade Youth Center, which is the organizer and executive producer of this permanent event in the field of culture of significance to the City of Belgrade. For many years, LUKOIL SRBIJA has been holding the title of Friend of our longest-running international film festival within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement with the City of Belgrade.

Andreja Mladenović, assistant mayor of Belgrade and president of the Board of Directors of The March Festival, stated that this year Belgrade will host a greater number of film artists. "This Festival is one of the longest-running Belgrade festivals. We are extremely proud to be able to nurture this tradition and contribute to the fact that each festival deserves the attention of not only filmmakers but also fans of film achievements. Its specificity is that it deals with documentaries, short, feature, animated and experimental films and as such gathers and completes everything that is extremely important in these film fields", said Mladenović.

He emphasized that the City is the founder of this festival and expressed hope that it will remain so. Mladenović especially thanked LUKOIL company for its support and for recognizing the importance of such an event for the City.

The March Festival opened with the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to film author Nikola Lorencin and the world premiere of the documentary The Battle of Dobrudža. During The March Festival, a total of 77 films will be screened during the competition program, 28 from the international and 49 from the domestic program, while visitors will be able to see 68 achievements in the revival section.
