LUKOIL SRBIJA DONATED THE MURAL OF DOSTOEVSKY TO BELGRADE

​As part of Russian spiritual culture day in Serbia, at the initiative of The Russian House and the Municipality of Čukarica, and with the support of LUKOIL SRBIJA, a mural was unveiled at the Čukarica Cultural Center in Belgrade with a stylized portrait of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky. This marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of Dostoevsky who paid great attention to Serbia, the Serbian people, as well as the connections between the Russian people and Serbia. The mural is the work of the famous Serbian muralist Milan Milosavljević.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Yarilova, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Aleksandar Botsan-Kharchenko, Minister of Innovation and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia Nenad Popović, and the President of the City Municipality of Čukarica Srрan Kolarić. The opening ceremony was attended by LUKOIL SRBIJA General Director Denis Ryupin and Corporate Security Manager Yury Shevtsov, as well as the director of The Russian House, Evgeny Baranov.

"This is a great honor for our country because a mural of Fyodor Dostoevsky symbolizes the preservation of the memory of a great Russian author. We hope that our co-operation will develop dynamically in the future, and the days of Russian Spiritual Culture in Serbia contribute to this”, said Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Yarilova at the unveiling.

The motive of the White Angel was incorporated into the portrait of the author of some of the most important literary works of all time. The mural looks down at Ulica Fyоdоr Dоstоеvsky in Belgrade and measures 6.5 by 4.5 meters.
