CHRISTMAS VILLAGE WITH SUPPORT FROM LUKOIL SRBIJA

As part of a cooperation agreement with the City of Belgrade, the 1.5-million-dinar donation for the New Year's program, "Christmas Village at the Church of Saint Sava", implemented by the Youth Theater “Dadov”, completes our Company’s cooperation in the City’s 2017 projects.
The event was officially opened by His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Irinej, on January 4, in front of a crowded plateau in front of the Church of Saint Sava. In his address to the audience, His Holiness wished everyone a happy and blessed holiday season, and to keep alive memories of their ancestors who left them with a proud history and culture, and a rich spiritual heritage. Before the official program, on the plateau in front of the Church, His Holiness distributed Christmas gifts to kids from families with numerous children, beneficiaries of church soup kitchens and orphanages.
The program continued to be held, daily, on the plateau in front of the Church of Saint Sava. Thus, a large number of believers gathered on Christmas morning, for the first time, for a traditional breaking of česnica. In addition to His Holiness, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić, the Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antić, the City Manager Goran Vesić, as well as the Crown Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević and his wife Princess Katarina were also present for the breaking of česnica.
Every day from the 4th to the 28th of January, 2018, visitors will be able to enjoy performances from children’s and church choirs on a unique structure – a Christmas tree, they will have the opportunity to ride on a horse and carriage around the Church, discover different gifts in wooden houses, various crafts, souvenirs, ornaments, traditional specialties and attend many other activities. In addition to the musical program, visitors will have the opportunity to watch different theater performances, exhibitions and films.
At the same time, the Company has tried to present the citizens with the benefits that can be achieved through various programs and actions at LUKOIL SRBIJA gas stations.
