CHRISTMAS VILLAGE NEXT TO THE CHURCH OF SAINT SAVA WITH SUPPORT FROM THE CITY AND LUKOIL

The 1.5-million-dinar donation for the New Year's program, "Christmas Village at the Church of Saint Sava", implemented by the Youth Theater “Dadov”, completes this year’s cooperation between LUKOIL and the City of Belgrade. The year's last contract was signed by the Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Andrija Mladenović and the Senior Manager for Supply and Wholesale at "LUKOIL SRBIJA " AD, Nastas Mihajlović.

The Deputy Mayor, Andreja Mladenović and the City Manager, Goran Vesić, announced that the plateau in front of the Church would host musicians as well as plays, exhibitions and films, especially for children. The Organizer’s representatives emphasized at the press conference that the " Christmas Village at the Church of Saint Sava" is being organized in cooperation with the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Municipality of Vračar, the "Dadov" Theater and socially responsible companies, above all LUKOIL, who have given their support.

The Deputy Mayor of Belgrade said that, "in this manner, a series of religious holidays will be celebrated in January, together with the Serbian Orthodox Church", adding that he expected a large number of foreign tourists as well.

City Manager Vesić pointed out that "the Church of Saint Sava should become a place where the citizens of Belgrade, especially children during the holidays, come to and, in the process, they will get used to visiting this place which is among the most important places in Serbia." Vesić reminded of the fact that the Government of Serbia and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, are taking part in arranging the Church.

This year, the company "LUKOIL SRBIJA " helped, with donations amounting to 22.5 million dinars, the organization of very important festivals such as FEST, the Documentary and Short Film Festival and the manifestation "Dani Beograda". Special attention was paid to various City municipalities, and the first this year was the municipality of Zemun w​ith its sports grounds and parks - 10 million dinars was allocated for the reconstruction and construction of several Zemun parks and green areas.
